In saner climes, Ministers of Information avail empirical facts to the teeming public. They use their good offices to act as bridge between the government and the people. However, in West Africa – Nigeria, the portfolio “Minister of Information” seems to have been dragged to the mud. Nigeria’s Minister of Information, Lia Mohammed has perfected a scheme to habitually infiltrate the public with well-rehearsed lies, earning him the reputation “Lie” Mohammed. Here under is an extract from a concerned Nigerian:
“Unfortunately, it wouldn’t be wrong to address the Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed , as the Minister of Lies. Nigerians are not to be blamed for this but the Minister who has exhibited a high level of his selfishness and mendacious attitude.
Nigeria deserves better hence, the need for the Honorable Minister to act with integrity and stop his lying tricks to ensure the ruling party, All Progressive Party (APC) wins the forthcoming Presidential election at all cost.
He should note that justice may be delayed but can never be denied. Lai Mohammed has derived joy in celebrating failure with obvious lies. Nigerians hope that all political elected/appointed officials know that they would be held accountable and must not live in pretense.
Nigerians say no to any form of reinforcement of backwardness.”
