Renowned religious cleric His Grace Most Revered Professor Daddy Hezekiah (MFR) on Sunday criticized Christian religious leaders who fail to condemn homosexuality in various churches.

The UN Ambassador and Industrial Chemist made these remarks during the Easter Sunday worship at the 75, 000 sitting capacity temple of his church Living Christ Mission in Onitsha, Anambra State, Nigeria.

Professor Hezekiah expressed his displeasure at the recent comments of the Archbishop of Canterbury Mr Justin Welby who recently granted an interview encouraging church support for homosexuality.

The Professor who also holds various degrees in Business Management, Accounting and Statistics pointed out in his earlier teachings that homosexuality is repugnant to the constitution of all Christians which is the Bible. In his words, “some people claim in the media including CNN that they are Christians. I think they are not because no real child of God will contradict the Bible. Countries and their citizens are controlled by their constitutions therefore Christians will always regard the Bible as their own constitution and would endeavour to abide by it”.

Professor Hezekiah is also famous for his preaching and lifestyle of holiness, righteousness and salvation.  He  quoted relevant sections of the Christian Holy Book to give succor to buttress his position against homosexual marriage such as Leviticus 18: 22-23, Leviticus 20:13, 1 Corinthians 6: 9-10 as well as Romans 1:22, 26-28

“Claiming to be wise, they became fools, For this reason God gave them up to dishonorable passions. Their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural, and the men likewise gave up natural relations with women and were consumed with passion for one another, men committing shameless acts with men and receiving in their own persons the due penalty for their error. And since they did not see fit to acknowledge God, God gave them up to a base mind and to improper conduct”

It will be recalled that the Archbishop of Canterbury Mr Welby had in a letter in January this year encouraged churches to support homosexuality as well as proceeding on a visit to Africa to mobilize support for this purpose. This move was met with stiff resistance and unanimous disapproval by Africans in general.
