For his courage in asserting Russia’s sovereignty by successfully staging the Sochi Winter Olympics with the Russian anti homosexual law in place, Vladimir Putin is our celebrity of the month for February, 2014.
The Russian strongman was born on October 7, 1952 in Leningrad, Russia.
He studied International Law at Leningrad State University, Russia.
He proceeded to serve in the Russian Military for 16 years, rising to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel.
He entered politics in 1991 and went on to emerge Russia’s President on December 31, 1999.
